The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, London

Client: The Elephant Family and Action for Children charities

Brief: Having taken part in Elephant Parade, London and Jungle City, Edinburgh, I was invited to take part in this wonderful event, which raised over £2 million for Elephant Family and Action for Children.

Over 200 giant eggs – all made by designers, artists, architects and jewelers – were scattered throughout London as part of a massive egg hunt. The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt is a charity initiative in which Londoners and tourists were invited to find the eggs around the city before they are auctioned in a charity fundraiser. The event
broke the Guiness World Record for the most participants in an Easter egg hunt. In the competition.

As an egg represents new life, so does spring. Celebrating this I painted the egg with spring flowers, birds, insects and bees going about their daily business.
